The European Union imposed sanctions on Supreme Court judges who kept Yabloko off the ballot

The sanctions list includes three Supreme Court judges and an employee of the Prosecutor General's Office. Sanctions were also imposed on the judge who sentenced Yabloko deputy chair Lev Shlosberg\ to 11 years in a penal colony, and on the prosecutor who requested the sentence. In addition, the list includes judges who took part in the proceedings against Yabloko deputy chair Maxim Kruglov and party chairman Nikolai Rybakov.

In addition, 10 people and 17 organizations responsible for the “forced assimilation, including ideological indoctrination and militarized education” of Ukrainian children were placed under restrictions.

The sanctions provide for an asset freeze. EU citizens and companies are also prohibited from providing those on the list with funds and other economic resources. Restrictions under this sanctions mechanism now apply to 108 individuals and seven organizations.
