The defense industry is short of workers. Producers of Iskanders and components for Pantsirs have been given priority by employment services

As The Insider found out, the authorities of the Volgograd region included at least 24 enterprises from the defense industry register on a list of 119 companies that employment services must give priority assistance with staffing.

Among them are Titan-Barrikady, a producer of launchers for the Iskander-M; the Meteor plant, a supplier of components for the Pantsir-S1; and Akhtuba, a producer of military equipment for the Navy.

The Insider found current vacancies at these enterprises for lathe operators, milling machine operators, welders, electronics assemblers, and engineers. Some are willing to hire employees with no experience and train them on the job, while some vacancies have been posted for months.
