The editor-in-chief of The Voice Mag, formerly the Russian edition of Cosmopolitan, Ekaterina Velikina, was fined 10,000 rubles over an article that mentioned rumors that demand for sex services had risen in Dubai amid shelling. The article, headlined “Guys Want Sex,” was published on The Voice Mag’s website on March 4. It quoted former TV presenter Anna Mukutsa, who lives in Dubai, speaking about supply and demand for sex workers’ services in the UAE. The article has already been deleted.

Velikina was found guilty under the article on violating the rules for releasing information products. Roskomnadzor drew up the administrative report against the outlet, deciding that the article violated the law on protecting children from information — The Voice Mag has a 16+ age rating.
