Social ads showing a family may be required to feature only “well-off families with at least three children,” Vedomosti writes, citing sources.

The relevant bill by the Federal Antimonopoly Service was supported by the government commission on legislative activity.

In addition, industry unions and associations may receive the right to establish a mandatory rule for their members requiring them to use the image of a large family in advertising.

The authors of the initiative believe this will help shape Russians’ “positive perception of this image” and popularize “traditional family values”.
