Tyumen deputies will buy New Year gifts for orphaned children in their own name with budget money
The Tyumen Regional Duma has signed a contract to purchase 470 New Year gifts for 324,300 rubles from the regional budget — the public procurement documents state that the gifts will be presented to children “from the deputies.”
The gifts are intended for orphaned children, children from large families, children with disabilities, and children left without parental care. The contract with Giftland was signed on October 2; the sweets are to be delivered by November 27. Initially, the regional Duma was prepared to spend 449,700 rubles on them.
State Duma deputy from the Tyumen region Nikolai Brykin (United Russia) called on regional Duma deputies to buy the gifts with their own money.
