Around 60 people were detained at a Communist Party rally in Moscow on the anniversary of the shelling of the White House

UPD: The Communist Party reported the detention of 65 people.

Eyewitnesses told Ostorozhno, Novosti about that number of detainees. According to them, there were two waves of detentions — 26 people from the Communist Party and around 30 members of Yabloko, as well as several activists. At the same time, Yabloko said the party has no information about members of their party taking part in the Communist Party rally or being detained. Earlier, SOTAvision reported that 20 rally participants had been taken to the Krasnopresnenskoye police station.

We see a person lying there and people around him. And law enforcement officers are kicking him with their feet. In the end they dragged the person out. They grabbed a woman there by the hair, she screamed. It was horror there, all in the traditions of ’93,

eyewitnesses told Ostorozhno, Novosti.

The authorized Communist Party rally in central Moscow is being held today in memory of the events of October 1993 during the shelling of the White House — among other things, people are laying flowers at the people’s memorial on Druzhinnikovskaya Street near Krasnopresnenskaya metro station.

During the march, participants chanted various slogans, including: “Power to the soviets, peace to the world,” “Our fatherland is all humanity,” “Power to the people, peace to the world!”, “Down with Roskomnadzor.” According to Astra, the detentions began after participants started chanting “Down with the tsar!” and other protest slogans.
