The Defense Ministry announced that Russia now has a global system for monitoring the situation in space

The system has already been “created and is functioning,” the ministry stressed. The monitoring is being carried out by the Space Forces of the Russian Aerospace Forces.

The Defense Ministry recalled that among the main tasks of this branch of the armed forces are “detecting threats to Russia in space and from space,” as well as informing the country’s authorities when launches of ballistic missiles are detected.
