Up to 15 days of arrest and fines: how those detained after the CPRF rally in Moscow were punished
Courts have already sentenced seven people detained after the CPRF rally on October 4 and the march to the memorial for those killed during the storming of the White House in 1993.
Arrests
➡️ Vladimir Bodyashkin – 15 days. He said that he has been taking part in such marches for two years and that previously they had passed peacefully.
➡️ Kirill Martemyanov – 14 days. He was arrested under the article on disobeying police.
➡️ Kamilla Fetiskina – 10 days. In court, she said she had come to honor the memory of the dead, had not chanted slogans, and had not carried flowers.
➡️ Darya Korolkova – 10 days. She said the detainees spent the night in a cell with bedbugs.
Fines
➡️ Tatyana Ustinova – 25,000 rubles, her daughter Maria Ratova – 20,000. Both said they had not taken part in the protest but were on their way to the zoo and accidentally ended up in the crowd. Ustinova also said that under pressure her daughter admitted to shouting slogans. Ustinova is suspected of having a rare disease, and she also has glaucoma. During the hearing, the woman became unwell: she began trembling, and an ambulance was called for her.
➡️ Maria Usoltseva – 4,000 rubles under the article on disobeying police.
The CPRF rally itself, according to the authorities, had been approved, but the march after it had not.
Mass detentions began after participants started chanting “Down with the tsar!” In total, about 60 people were taken to police departments, and at least 15 were kept there overnight.
