Military blogger and creator of the Z-channel Rybar detained in Montenegro
On the morning of October 9, Montenegrin police detained Mikhail Zvinchuk in the town of Risan together with his wife and several employees, Montenegrin media outlets Vijesti and Pobjeda reported. The operation was carried out jointly with the country’s National Security Agency.
Media outlets link it to “stopping the hybrid activity” of a network of channels aimed at spreading Kremlin propaganda. What exactly Zvinchuk is being accused of is not yet known.
Mikhail Zvinchuk is under British sanctions, and in 2024 the U.S. State Department announced a

The official salary alone of Rybar’s co-owner is more than 804,000 rubles a month. He was also paid salaries by RT, Dzen, and MGIMO, where he worked as a lecturer. Rybar LLC’s revenue in 2025 amounted to 61 million rubles.
