Action artist Krisevich’s wife has been released and is safe. She was detained when she returned from France to Russia to meet her family
The artist wrote this on his social media.
“I had been in silence mode, but now Lena is completely safe together with our dog Celine. And now it is finally possible to say all of this directly. Because of the specifics of immigration procedures, we still do not have the opportunity to live together, and we are now looking for housing for Lena and Celine — a small studio or room in Paris or the suburbs for a moderate price,” Pavel Krisevich wrote.
On September 7, Elena Morgunova was given another 14 days of arrest in a “carousel” fashion, even though she was supposed to be released after her previous 10-day arrest.
🔵On August 28, Morgunova was detained during a document check on a bus and was ordered to unlock her phone. According to Morgunova, one of the security officers shouted at her, called her a “bitch,” and threatened to kill her dog if she refused to give the password. Morgunova gave the password so the dog would be released. But she refused to unlock Telegram, for which she was given administrative arrest. The messenger, however, was hacked the same day anyway.
🔵Morgunova’s husband Pavel Krisevich remains in France, where he has requested asylum. Morgunova came to Russia to see her family.
