Lawyer Anton Dolgikh was detained in Kirov. His current whereabouts are unknown

On the evening of October 9 in Kirov, lawyer and blogger Anton Dolgikh was detained. A video published by lawyer Violetta Volkova shows Dolgikh lying on the ground, after which he is put into a car and driven away.

According to Volkova, the people who detained him had no visible identifying insignia and did not introduce themselves. His family and lawyer were not told where Dolgikh was taken or why he was detained.

Who is Anton Dolgikh

➡️ A Kirov lawyer and blogger known for videos from courts, police stations, and prosecutors’ offices, as well as for conflicts with officials and security forces. About 1.5 million people subscribe to his YouTube channel.

➡️ A politician: he headed the Kirov branch of PARNAS, was a member of the Opposition Coordination Council, and tried to run for governor of Kirov Region.

➡️ A defendant in a criminal case: in 2025, Dolgikh was arrested in a case over a 4,500-ruble bribe to a postal worker. He himself called the money material assistance. The court sentenced him to a year and a half in a settlement colony, but taking into account nine months in pretrial detention, the lawyer was released right in the courtroom.

UPD: A case has been opened against Anton Dolgikh over the use of violence against a representative of the authorities. According to lawyer Violetta Volkova, the allegation against the lawyer is that he supposedly hit a Federal Penitentiary Service employee on the street, and that the employee “was hurt and, apparently, offended.” Volkova calls this a lie. Investigators are asking that Dolgikh be placed in custody.
