Muscovites reported the sounds of explosions in the north and northeast of the capital

Readers of Ostorozhno, Novosti said they heard several such sounds in the sky near Savyolovskaya and the VDNKh metro station and noticed smoke. According to MSK1, the sound was heard near VDNKh, in Maryina Roshcha, and on Butyrskaya.

What caused it is not reliably known. According to a local resident, the windows rattled. “There was a bang and there was a strange trail in the sky,” MSK1 quotes a resident of the Savyolovsky district as saying.

In the comments under these and other posts about the sounds of explosions, residents of Ostankino, Marfino, Bibirevo, Timiryazevsky and Basmanny districts, and the areas around the Dinamo and Dostoyevskaya metro stations also wrote about them.

Upd. Air defenses shot down two drones flying toward Moscow, Sobyanin reported. He did not specify where exactly this happened.

On the evening of October 10, according to Ostorozhno, Novosti, they were heard in the northeast and east of the city: around Savyolovskaya, Novoslobodskaya, Preobrazhenskaya Ploshchad, and the Botanical Garden. On October 9, they were heard in the south and southeast, including in Kolomenskoye, Kapotnya, Kuzminki, and Maryino.
