Mikhail Zvinchuk, founder of the Rybar project, returned to Moscow on the night of October 11 — he flew in from Belgrade with his wife and three project employees, RTVI reports.

On October 9, all five were detained in Montenegro and then expelled to Serbia on grounds of national security.

Zvinchuk told an RTVI correspondent at Sheremetyevo.

The group was detained on the morning of October 9. Their equipment, including cameras and a drone, was seized; according to Zvinchuk, it was never returned. He also said police asked whether members of the group recruit foreigners for the war. Montenegro’s Prime Minister Milojko Spajić called Zvinchuk’s detention a “successful operation.”
