Lavrov and Peskov commented on Zelensky’s idea of a 60-day ceasefire to hold Ukraine’s presidential election
Lentach:
Ukraine will hold a presidential election if Putin agrees to a 60-day ceasefire. Zelensky said this in an interview with ABC journalist Jonathan Karl.
Lavrov and Peskov commented on Zelensky’s idea of a 60-day ceasefire to hold Ukraine’s presidential election.
Lavrov:
“I do not think he has earned a breather. I do not think we will once again fall for assurances and promises. The president [Putin] said this very clearly. We continue to achieve the goals of the special military operation. They are perfectly well known to everyone. We have never changed them, unlike the zigzags and evasions of Zelensky and his European masters. Therefore, we have nothing to justify ourselves for to anyone”
Peskov:
“The president [Putin] has already spoken about this, but on his behalf I can say with full responsibility that if they in Kyiv really want to hold elections, then the president of the Russian Federation, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, will be ready to give an order not to strike Ukraine on election day, specifically on election day”
Ceasefire Shrunk To One Election Day
Moscow rejected a 60-day ceasefire and offered no strikes only on election day.
Generosity was measured in strikes again.
