50-year-old warrant officer Vitaly Naumchik is a fresh example of what happens to Russian prisoners of war after they return to Russia. He was captured twice on the same sector in Donbas. The second time happened literally just a few months after an exchange.

The man became the victim of a classic “scam”: officers assured him that “after captivity they don’t send you to the front,” promised him service in the rear, but in the end Vitaly somehow magically ended up in a combat unit near Lyman. That was just when the Third Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine began Operation “Vivaldi”, and the man used the option of surrendering to the advancing Ukrainians for a second time. Fortunately, he already knew what awaited him there.

Naumchik naively believes that after his second return from captivity he will be able to sue the commanders who illegally sent him to the front line. But as the experience of hundreds like him shows, it is better either to run as far away from the Russian army as possible at the first opportunity, or to contact “I Want to Live.” Because all Russian soldiers are sent to the slaughter for a second time (in his case, it will be a third time).

☝️For those who still do not believe that the “Motherland” wages war with its men until they are completely destroyed, we recommend watching the warrant officer’s full conversation with Ukrainian journalists:
