The FSB searched Communist Party member Anzhela Donskaya over alleged “discrediting” of the army. Donskaya publicly supports the war

At around six in the morning, FSB officers arrived to search the home of Anzhela Donskaya, secretary of the Communist Party’s Vyborg District Committee. They seized her phone and drew up an administrative offense report.

Law enforcement officials believe that Donskaya distributed materials that “discredit” the Russian army and could lead to mass violations of public order.

“I believe these actions are due to my active civic engagement and personal position,”

Donskaya wrote.

At the same time, she publicly supports Russian military personnel. For example, Donskaya recently wrote about medals being made for service members and called them “our defenders.”

Ivan Apostolevsky, a member of the St. Petersburg Legislative Assembly, called what was happening absurd.

“It is obvious that this is completely absurd. Anzhela actively handles public appeals, helps residents, and sends humanitarian aid. This case is an act of intimidation against our comrade and the entire party,”

Apostolevsky said.

In the September elections, Donskaya ran as a Communist Party candidate for the Leningrad Region Legislative Assembly but did not win a seat.
