Putin: Russia will respond to Ukrainian strikes on oil refineries, logistics and energy facilities

He made the statement during a plenary session of the Delovaya Rossiya forum and congress, RIA Novosti reports.

“We have encountered actions by the enemy against our platforms, both Wildberries and Ozon. Incidentally, they keep taking certain steps that, frankly speaking, we probably should have anticipated, but we thought they would not come up with anything like that. They did, and we are beginning to respond. Then they immediately appeal to their sponsors, asking them to stop us. That is what happened with energy facilities,” Vladimir Putin said.

According to him, the latest Ukrainian strikes on Russian oil refineries “hit a few places, but nothing significant.”

“The same goes for e-commerce platforms. They took the first step. We began to respond. Now they are already squealing about the energy sector over there, and about other facilities as well, including data centers and so on. They started it. They should not have started it. Before taking that step, they should have carefully considered the consequences,” Putin added.
