Alexander Nevzorov Added to Rosfinmonitoring’s List of Terrorists and Extremists
Nevzorov left Russia shortly after the start of the Russian-Ukrainian war. The Russian authorities designated the journalist a “foreign agent.” In 2023, a Moscow court sentenced Nevzorov in absentia to eight years in prison on charges of spreading “fake news” about the army.
In addition, a Russian court declared Nevzorov and his wife, Lidia, an “extremist association.” In 2025, a case was opened against them for financing extremism because they had collected donations for themselves.
