A teenager who was provoked by the FSB has been arrested in St. Petersburg on terrorism charges
A 16-year-old resident of St. Petersburg has been arrested in a case involving “aiding and abetting a terrorist attack,” Fontanka reports.
According to investigators, the teenager “began corresponding with a representative of a terrorist organization” and agreed to transport a weapon from one cache to another.
A statement from the St. Petersburg court press service says that “FSB officers discovered Vladimir, and from September to October 2026, the young man was already corresponding with the FSB,” during which he allegedly “confirmed his intentions.”
Fontanka writes that the teenager “thought he was corresponding with the Russian Volunteer Corps.”
The teenager reportedly “received the coordinates of the place where he was supposed to pick up the weapon, went there, retrieved it, and was detained as he was leaving the cache.” Fontanka specifies that the weapon was a Makarov pistol.
