Zelensky Says the US Is “Working” on His Meeting With Putin, Which Could Take Place...
Zelensky said that the US is “working” on his meeting with Putin, which could take place in a Middle Eastern country
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said this during a meeting with journalists, RBC-Ukraine reports.
According to Zelensky, the US “has proposals”: the meeting could take place in a Middle Eastern country—the UAE or Saudi Arabia. The meeting could also take place in the US during the G20 summit, but neither Russia nor the US has confirmed this, he stressed.
Zelensky also did not rule out the possibility of the meeting taking place in a European country. According to him, the Europeans “are beginning to make contact about this,” the publication quoted the Ukrainian president as saying.
In addition, a new meeting between the Ukrainian delegation and Trump’s special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner could take place next week, Zelensky said.
He also said that, in his view, the lifting of sanctions on Russia will only continue, and that Putin and Trump’s “diesel deal” is merely the first step.
