Finland received a flight from Hurghada to St. Petersburg that was unable to land in Russia because the airport was closed

A Red Sea Airlines plane flying from Hurghada to St. Petersburg landed earlier at Helsinki Airport, the Finnish Border Guard reported.

The airport in the Finnish capital served as the alternate because the St. Petersburg airport had been temporarily closed due to a drone attack.

After refueling, the plane was able to continue its flight.

🔴In total, operations at at least 12 Russian airports were restricted overnight on October 17 because of drone attacks.
