Business owners are ready to “chip in” to create new air defense systems to protect industrial facilities, said the new business ombudsman, Alexander Shokhin.

“They are ready to chip in, so to speak. And the issue, probably, is that this process needs to be incentivized. There is the pilot program for an investment tax deduction—let’s at least start with that. [...] Let’s not be afraid of the fact that, in wartime, companies’ investments in this area—in protecting production facilities from attacks—need to be incentivized,” Shokhin explained in an interview with TASS.

In August, the old man signed a decree introducing temporary administration at companies that do a poor job of protecting themselves from UAV attacks.

Factories May Fund Their Own Air Defense

Businesses are being asked to fund air defenses for their own facilities.
