Attempt Made to Set Fire to a Facility Storing Starlink Equipment in Lithuania
In Lithuania, an attempt was made to set fire to a facility where Starlink equipment is stored
“At around two in the morning, an attempt was made to burn satellite antennas and a control unit. Flammable liquids were found, along with containers ranging in volume from three to ten liters,” Lithuanian Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevičius told LRT.
According to Sinkevičius, it is “obvious” that this is “part of Russia’s hybrid war.” However, the arson attempt failed: the prime minister said the authorities had warned the facility in advance about possible attacks, and security measures had been strengthened. He did not name any specific perpetrators or organizers.
🔵Poland previously accused Russian intelligence services of setting fire to a Starlink station near Warsaw on September 23. On October 14, a Starlink station was also set on fire in Bulgaria. Since the start of the full-scale war in Ukraine, more than 210 incidents that Western officials consider acts of sabotage linked to Russia have been recorded across Europe, The Associated Press reported.
