The Albanian prime minister linked mass protests in the country to Russian and Iranian influence
Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama said Russia and Iran were interfering in the mass protests ongoing in the country, Albeu reports.
According to him, Russia and Iran used thousands of fake social-media profiles to stir up discontent with Albania’s authorities.
“Thousands and thousands, tens of thousands of fake profiles created specifically to pose as Albanians seeking to protect nature were deployed, just as thousands and thousands of others were deployed by the terrorist Republic of Iran,” Rama said.
He also linked the protests to the Antifa movement.
🔴Protests in Albania began in late May over plans to build resorts on Albania’s Sazan Island and along the coast near a protected area. The project belongs to Affinity Partners, the company of Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner.
The protests later grew into anti-government demonstrations demanding the prime minister’s resignation.

Resorts Blamed on Foreign Profiles
The prime minister linked resort protests to fake accounts and Antifa.
The development itself is surely irrelevant.
