Ukraine is still recording Starlink speed restrictions on different sections of the front — Zelenskyy
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that in different sections of the front, the equipment stops functioning at speeds of 130–161 kilometers per hour.
This slows down our frontline logistics and limits the use of different types of drones, primarily mid-strikes and jet-powered Shahed interceptors. Today, this must be discussed once again with our partners at all levels. Speed matters for protecting lives,
he emphasized.
Zelenskyy also said that 28 substations and other energy facilities had been damaged in the country after another wave of Russian attacks. Restoration work is continuing, and electricity is gradually being restored to people, he added.
🔵Zelenskyy also said on October 16 at a summit in Brussels that restrictions on the use of Starlink by the Ukrainian Armed Forces had still not been fully lifted. At the time, he also denied reports that Ukraine was using Starlink to strike deep inside Russia.
🔵The Telegraph, citing sources, writes that the idea to slow Starlink down in Ukraine came from Elon Musk. One of the newspaper’s sources said Trump agreed with Musk’s proposal, allowing the Pentagon to slow down Starshield, Starlink’s military package.
