The Wall Street Journal: Putin, Trump, and Xi Jinping may hold a trilateral meeting on the sidelines of APEC in Shenzhen on November 18–19 to discuss a deal on Ukraine.
▪️Putin proposed the idea during a conversation with Trump on October 9 — when they agreed on the diesel deal. Trump may respond to the proposal, as he wants to fulfill his intention of settling the war.
▪️Russian representatives proposed the idea to China, which indicated that it would not object to such a meeting if Trump agrees.
▪️Putin has ambitions to hold a summit in the spirit of the 1945 Yalta Conference, where the fate of postwar Europe was decided, later divided into spheres of influence.
▪️Although such ambitions look unrealistic, the very fact that three leaders will decide the fate of one nation (Ukraine) will be unprecedented, sending alarming signals to all European capitals and beyond (Taiwan).

What can I say here, friends. My only hope is that by November 18–19, the results of the congressional elections will already be known, and that they will be as disappointing as possible for Trump's supporters, which will limit his ability to push Ukraine into capitulation.
