Adam Kadyrov created a security “unit” made up of children of the Chechen elite and his relatives

Eighteen-year-old Adam Kadyrov, the son of Chechen head Ramzan Kadyrov, has created a new security “unit” that includes his close relatives, the children of officials, and his guards, Verstka has found.

A post with a photo on an Instagram account of the same name says that Adam Kadyrov founded “Team K-13.”

“These are people of their word, honor, and discipline, ready to carry out any assignment regardless of place and time. Loyalty to the cause, decisiveness, and responsibility are the principles guiding Team K-13,” the post says.

The photo itself shows 18 other people in addition to Kadyrov. All of them pose holding weapons. Verstka identified most of those in the photograph — more than half are relatives of the Kadyrov family or sons of high-ranking officials and security officers:

Yakub Chalayev — the 21-year-old son of Zamid Chalayev, who heads the Chechen Interior Ministry’s special police regiment.

Dokka Aydamirov — the 21-year-old nephew of Ramzan Kadyrov’s wife Medni.

Shamil Iraskhanov — the 36-year-old relative of Apti Iraskhanov, head of the Grozny Interior Ministry.

Akhmat Vismuradov — the 21-year-old nephew of republic vice-premier Abuzaid Vismuradov.

Ramzan Daudov — the 18-year-old son of Chechen Prime Minister Magomed Daudov.

Ramzan Matsuyev — the 18-year-old brother of Aishat Kadyrova’s husband.

Abubakar Kadyrov — the 30-year-old nephew of the Chechen head.

Minkail Usmanov — the 23-year-old nephew of Ramzan Kadyrov’s wife Medni.

Khas-Magomed Naurbiyev — the 19-year-old son of Magomed (Adam) Naurbiyev, deputy commander of the Akhmat SOBR special rapid-response unit.

For the other identified participants in the photograph, Verstka found no kinship with the Chechen head’s family or other members of the republic’s elite. For example, the photo includes 28-year-old Khalid (Shamkhan) Tesaev. According to leaked data, in 2025 Tesaev’s father worked as a vegetable grower at the Astrakhansky agricultural-industrial complex. Meanwhile, Tesaev Jr. is listed in phone books as “Dustum’s assistant” and “Dustum’s security.” It is known that he had previously been a dancer with the Nokhcho ensemble.

🟪“K13” is one of Adam Kadyrov’s call signs and his personal brand. Presumably, “Team K-13” is an informal “unit”; there are no mentions of its activities on social media or in Chechen media.
