A prosecutor stated this in court, TASS reports.
Anton Astakhov is accused of fraud involving loans from AKB Apabank totaling more than 378 million rubles.
Earlier, Kommersant wrote that Astakhov, along with other defendants in the case, stole money from the bank, of which he was a shareholder in 2019–2020, by issuing knowingly non-repayable loans to fictitious organizations.
Anton Astakhov is also a defendant in a criminal case over official forgery (Article 292 of the Criminal Code), connected with the unlawful awarding of decorations during the war.
In 2022, he was sentenced to 3.5 years for fraud, signed a contract with the Defense Ministry, and went to war.
Astakhov himself insists he is innocent. His lawyer told RIA Novosti that he wants to return to the war.
