Shulman, Khodorkovsky, Chichvarkin and Naki added to register of Russians with restricted rights
For the first time, the Justice Ministry has added people to a list of those subject to “temporary restrictive measures.” There are now 12 people on it. They include Yekaterina Shulman, Mikhail Khodorkovsky, Yevgeny Chichvarkin, Michael Naki, Mark Feygin and Vladimir Milov.
What is this register?
Meduza called the new list a kind of register of “enemies of the people,” while the Slovo Zashchite project called it a “register of civic execution.”
Those placed on the register may have their money and property frozen, and face restrictions on real-estate and vehicle transactions, access to banking apps, government services, and certain consular and notarial services.
We previously explained in detail how this mechanism works and who may be added to such a register.
