Moscow and Kyiv confirm ceasefire agreement in Oleshky to evacuate residents

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said that the Kremlin welcomes the efforts of Melania Trump, who played a coordinating role in the ceasefire in Oleshky. According to him, the military are now coordinating the timing of the ceasefire.

Peskov added that the evacuation from Oleshky could take at least several days.

The agreement to evacuate residents was confirmed by David Arakhamia, the head of the Servant of the People faction. According to him, there are plans to create permanently operating humanitarian corridors for evacuating civilians and delivering aid.

“It was a lengthy process involving many people at different political levels. We especially want to note the role of the Pope and US First Lady Melania Trump,” he added.
