The ceasefire will extend not only to occupied Oleshky, but also to the areas through which humanitarian routes will pass, Ukraine’s ombudsman says

Ukraine’s Human Rights Commissioner Dmytro Lubinets said the humanitarian operation would take place in several stages.

After the ceasefire takes effect, the sides plan to clear mines from the roads leading to the city, deliver food, drinking water and medicines to residents, and ensure everyone has access to the local hospital.

The next stage is to unblock departures for everyone wishing to leave Oleshky. According to Lubinets, Ukraine proposed several new initiatives that Russia supported.

Representatives of Ukraine, the United States and Russia will monitor compliance with the agreements.
