As I understand it, Elon Musk was asked to take responsibility and admit that it was he who switched off the Starlinks.

He admitted it, but did so in a very disgusting way, accusing Ukraine of allegedly violating Starlink’s terms of use and calling those who believe that Ukraine has the right to self-defense “warmongering malcontents who advocate endless bloodshed and offer no realistic resolution to the conflict,” telling them to burn in hell.

Perhaps Elon would like to add that the fighters of Ukraine’s Defense Forces, as well as Ukrainian women and children whom Russia kills every day with missiles and drones, should also burn in hell, but he could not because that would have been too much. But let us not attribute to him what he did not say.

It is very sad that Elon considers Ukraine’s capitulation, followed by the liquidation of its statehood, the filtering and Russification of the Ukrainian people, to be a “solution to the conflict” (which has already happened in the occupied territories and happened in every territory where the foot of a Russian soldier set foot and from which he was driven out—from Bucha to Kherson).

But since there is no way to influence his point of view, all that remains is to hope that this statement by Elon Musk will make Europeans get moving on developing Iris2—an alternative to Starlink—so that it is ready a little earlier than 2030.

Serhii Sternenko said that Ukraine did not violate Starlink’s rules of use, because after whitelists were created in February, terminals had to be connected to the Starshield system in order to be used while moving.

Serhii “Flash” Beskrestnov added that Ukraine PHYSICALLY cannot use commercial Starlink for strikes with deep-strike and mid-strike drones.

Sternenko suggested sharing his English-language tweet refuting Musk’s slander. I am joining in on my Twitter (X).

An Admission With Ukraine Already Blamed

Musk admitted cutting the connection and accused Ukraine of breaking the rules.

The admission immediately became an accusation.
