A developer from Chelyabinsk voluntarily signed a contract to serve in “drone forces” and went missing in a “meat assault” — Important Stories

A developer from Chelyabinsk signed a contract with the Defense Ministry under which he was supposed to serve in the “unmanned forces,” but several months later he was sent into a “meat assault,” where he went missing. Important Stories reports this, citing his wife.

According to the woman, in the summer of 2026 her husband decided that he wanted to become a drone operator in order to “benefit society,” and signed a contract with the Defense Ministry.

The man ended up in a motorized rifle brigade unofficially known as the “Black Hussars,” whose fighters are suspected of shooting civilians in Kyiv Oblast in 2022. Verstka wrote that torture and extrajudicial killings are practiced in this unit.

In September, the man told his wife that he was being sent on a “combat mission,” after which he disappeared. A few weeks later, the command recognized him as missing in action.

Later, his wife found notifications in his email about the purchase of five gaming laptops while the man was at the front. She suspects that one of the commanders made the purchase.
