Yandex has moved all three of its supercomputers to a new location after Ukrainian drone attacks
All three of Yandex’s supercomputers — Lyapunov, Galushkin, and Chervonenkis — have been moved to new locations, the company’s press service said.
Yandex claims that the supercomputers were not damaged during the Ukrainian drone attacks.
“They have been removed from the locations where they had been until now and are currently being deployed at new computing sites. The supercomputers will continue to be used as infrastructure for Yandex services and for training foundational language models,” the company said.
According to a Forbes source close to the company, these supercomputers do not depend on one another: they may be located in different places because this is not a supercluster but three independent nodes.
