Attention, fake! Fire Point has NOT stopped producing Flamingo cruise missiles!
❗️Attention, fake! Fire Point has NOT STOPPED producing Flamingo cruise missiles!
The video now spreading across TikTok, Twitter, and Telegram is an out-of-context fragment of an interview with Fire Point CEO Iryna Terekh from three months ago.
In the original, host Yurii Fedorenko asked about the names of the Fire Point lineup: if there are FP-5, FP-7, and FP-9, are there cruise-missile modifications with other “numbers”?
Terekh replied that the FP-5 Flamingo is Fire Point's only cruise missile and that no other modifications are planned.
That's all. On the left is the fake TikTok; on the right is the original with a timestamp.
The words that Flamingo was “purely a political statement” were also taken out of context: the point was that Fire Point had been tasked with creating a working missile as cheaply as possible and in a short timeframe, rather than some high-tech wonder weapon.
Russian military-industrial plants have already experienced Flamingo's political statement at least 8 times — the most recent successful strike hit Volgogradpromproekt on September 13.
Previous successful strikes:
August 18, RCC Progress/AviaKor LLC
July 24, Avitek JSC
June 27, Federal Research and Production Center Titan-Barrikady
June 10, VNIIR-Progress
May 5, VNIIR-Progress
February 25, Votkinsk Plant
February 12, 117th GRAU Arsenal
There were also several more strikes in which all missiles were shot down by air defense or could not hit their targets because of deviation.
The Fake Met the Full Recording
An old clip was presented as halted missile production.
Context spoiled the urgent victory again.
