Roskomnadzor blocks AI hit “You’re My Scumbag”

Hi, it’s Anton. At the end of September, Rosmolodyozh demanded that DJ NARODNII’s track “You’re My...” be blocked. It had already been going viral on TikTok and Instagram for several weeks. Besides Rosmolodyozh, Ekaterina Mizulina also complained about the track after receiving appeals from angry users. And today, it emerged that the song had been removed from music platforms on Roskomnadzor’s orders.

The track really is questionable, to put it mildly: for example, its protagonist intends to break his girlfriend’s arms and legs so she won’t leave him. DJ NARODNII, however, insists that it is a parody of AI-generated music and that the lyrics are satirical.

Last week, Mark Valberg told the story of this controversial hit. There’s plenty in it that’s unexpected: for example, people online dubbed the song the “air fryer anthem.”
